Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about CrownCards, including how withdrawals work, identity verification, fair market value, shipping, and more. If you have additional questions, please contact us at [email protected].

How do I withdraw my balance?

Navigate to the cash out section within the Account tab. You can withdraw to a debit card or bank account. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your withdrawal request. Identity verification may be required before your first withdrawal.

Do I need to verify my identity to withdraw?

Yes. Identity verification is required for withdrawals and shipping. This is a standard KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure to comply with applicable laws and prevent fraud. Verification typically takes approximately twenty-four hours. If your verification is still pending after 48 hours, please contact customer support.

What happens if my identity verification fails?

If your initial verification fails, your account will undergo manual review through our third-party verification provider. If manual review also fails, you may be required to submit notarized documents proving your identity. If you are unable to pass verification, your account will remain unable to withdraw funds or request shipments.

How long do withdrawals take?

Instant withdrawals (to a debit card) typically take approximately ten minutes. Standard withdrawals (to a bank account) take one to three business days. Processing time may be longer if additional verification is required.

Are there withdrawal minimums or limits?

The minimum withdrawal amount is $5 to reduce micro-transaction processing costs. Purchase and withdrawal limits may also be in place to combat fraud and comply with payment processor restrictions. CrownCards may increase your limits over time based on your transaction history.

Do I need to pay taxes on card sales?

You are responsible for paying any applicable taxes on gains from card sales. When your total withdrawals or sales exceed $600 in a calendar year, CrownCards will collect tax information from you and may pause withdrawals at that threshold until the required tax forms are completed. You may be issued a Form 1099 or other applicable tax document. Consult a tax professional for specific advice regarding your situation.

How is Fair Market Value (FMV) calculated?

CrownCards determines Fair Market Value using a semi-automated proprietary system that considers factors including rarity, historical sales data, grading scores, provenance, and current market dynamics. FMV is subject to change as new data becomes available. The FMV displayed on the Platform at the time of a transaction is the value used for that transaction.

What is the buyback guarantee?

CrownCards guarantees that it will repurchase any card at its current Fair Market Value for a minimum of seven days after purchase. This means every card you acquire has a guaranteed liquidation option. After the seven-day guarantee period, CrownCards may continue to offer buyback at the then-current FMV, but is not obligated to do so.

Can I get my cards shipped to me?

Yes. You may request physical shipment of cards in your collection. Shipping costs and applicable sales tax are the responsibility of the user. Once a shipment is handed off to the carrier, CrownCards assumes no further responsibility for the package.

Is shipping insurance required?

Shipping insurance is optional for cards with a Fair Market Value below $1,000. For cards with an FMV at or above $1,000, insurance is mandatory. CrownCards is not liable for loss or damage during transit once the shipment has been delivered to the carrier.
